An Introduction About Me

Hi everyone.

I hope you’re all keeping well? I’d like to take this opportunity to say huge a thank you to all my connections on LinkedIn and followers, on face book and Instagram also I would like to tell you all about me. Firstly I am the founder of Surreal Holistic Therapy a clinic based business which is based in the Sherwood, Mapperley Park and West Bridgford areas of Nottingham , specialising in Sports and Holistic, Massage Therapy . I chose the name " Surreal " because it means, total relaxation and dream-like state, which is how I felt while looking beyond the rice fields of Ubud in Bali, Indonesia the place I went to find myself and more. Hence why I like to think the treatments I offer apart from Sports and Deep Tissue therapy allows my clients to forget about their problems and just drift away

All the therapies therapies I offer aide relaxation, stress reduction, lower blood pressure, muscle relaxation, improve circulation, improve posture, strengthen the immunity system and combat cellulite.

I enjoy what I do because the first point of contact extends so much further than just the physical wellness. I get to help people feel better physically, emotionally, and spiritually. There are very few jobs out there that allow you to do this, and massage therapy is one of them. People come to me from all walks of life with different types of issues. Some people have been extremely stressed with work, family life, or are recovering from surgery. Whatever it is, I get to help them through it and put them on the path to a successful recovery.

Healing through alternative therapies isn't a quick fix, but if followed consistently and in conjunction with a good healthy diet and exercise program, you'll experience long-lasting results.

The treatments I offer are Relaxation, Aromatherapy, Swedish, Deep Tissue, Remedial Massage, Indian Head and Hot Stone Therapy.

Most of my treatments are inspired through years of extensive research on massage therapy being the oldest form of medicine, also used as a healing tool, to treat the whole person's physical, emotional and spiritual needs of the body to achieve optimal wellness in Ancient Africa, China and India.

On my travels to Africa and Far East Asia, I was amazed at how many people including families young and old, would book in for a massage instead of visiting their General Practitioners. I was so impressed that, through extensive research, I enrolled on an Aromatherapy Balinese massage course at Bali Bisa the International Spa Academy in Bali, which was truly amazing as I learned more about ancient massage rituals and techniques.

The Balinese( Eastern) massage is a form of deep tissue massage designed to work almost every muscle in the body. Originating on the island of Bali, this massage involves a combination of techniques, including, acupressure, reflexology, and aromatherapy into one session. Often used for relaxation, this type of massage also helps to loosen muscles and ease the pain.
